Integrated AI Chips is a small, pre-seed team with one conviction: the most powerful AI shouldn't require permission, a subscription, or an internet connection. We're designing a chip that runs state-of-the-art models on a USB stick: privately, offline, at a fraction of the energy.
Why this exists
Cloud inference turned AI into a metered utility. Your prompts travel to someone else's computer, burn data-center energy, and come back slower than they should. For developers, hospitals, governments, and anyone with sensitive data, that trade-off is getting harder to justify. Purpose-built silicon can fix it. A chip whose architecture mirrors the model itself, with no data ever leaving your desk.
Standing on shoulders
We're inspired by Taalas, who showed that hardwiring a model into silicon isn't a thought experiment. They built working chips that do exactly that. Their work is proof this path is real, and the benchmark we measure ourselves against. If our paths ever converge, we'd welcome the collaboration.
Where we are, honestly
We're at the idea stage. Important parts of the architecture are designed and validated in simulation; no silicon exists yet. From here to hardware in your hands is years of work and tens of millions of dollars: prototypes, a tape-out, a team. We'd rather tell you that now than pretend otherwise.

What we're asking for
